The role of a Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at Burger King is an executive leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire daily operations of the restaurant to maximize profitability, enhance guest satisfaction, foster team development, and maintain efficient operational standards. Reporting directly to the District Manager, the General Manager supervises Assistant Managers, Hourly Shift Coordinators, and Team Members to ensure all facets of restaurant performance align with corporate expectations and the Burger King brand ethos.

As a Restaurant General Manager, you will drive sales and profitability through strategic profit and loss management, effective people development, and operational mastery. You will motivate and lead the restaurant team to consistently deliver accurate, friendly, and fast service within a clean and welcoming environment. Managing the guest experience is paramount, requiring you to promptly resolve guest concerns and utilize feedback systems to uncover root causes of issues, developing targeted action plans to improve service.

Engagement with the local community also plays a crucial part in this role, where you will identify and interact with potential customers to support local marketing initiatives, enhancing the restaurant's reach and brand loyalty. Your leadership extends to recruitment, onboarding, and training of new hires, ensuring that all team members are well-equipped with knowledge and skills to provide superior guest experiences.

In addition to running daily operations smoothly, the Restaurant General Manager will implement and maintain brand and operational standards rigorously. This includes managing labor costs through optimal staffing and scheduling, and stepping in to perform duties of assistant managers or shift coordinators when necessary to ensure seamless operations.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $60,000 annually, complemented by bonus pay and a comprehensive benefits package. The role requires weekend, holiday availability, and the ability to work 10-hour shifts on-site. Job Duties

  • Reviews P&L to increase profitability for the restaurant
  • Drives sales through proactive guest service, people development and operations management
  • Motivates and directs team members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, friendly, and fast service in a clean facility
  • Manages the guest experience through operations and timely response to Guest issues
  • Problem solves guest feedback systems to determine root-causes and develops action plans to address issues
  • Identifies and interacts with the community to engage prospective guest and execute on local marketing initiatives
  • Leads the restaurant’s recruitment and selection process to build and retain an effective restaurant team
  • On-boards new team members by training and guiding them through the certification process
  • Inspires the restaurant team by effectively managing individual and team recognition programs
  • Provides coaching and feedback to all employees to increase the restaurant team’s capabilities and raise performance
  • Manages restaurant labor using optimal Manager staffing and Team Member scheduling
  • Ensures that restaurant upholds operational and brand standards
  • Performs duties of the Assistant Manager and Hourly Shift coordinator when necessary
