Job Description
Border Foods is one of the largest privately held Taco Bell franchisees in America, established from the vision of two brothers who sought to open a Mexican restaurant. Over the years, Border Foods has expanded significantly, operating numerous Taco Bell locations under a people-first mantra that values every team member—from cooks and cashiers to restaurant managers and beyond. The company emphasizes a family culture grounded in core values such as Accountability, Integrity, Family, Excellence, Teamwork, and Empowerment. These principles are reflected in every aspect of its operations, creating safe, welcoming, and supportive environments where both employees and customers benefit and thrive.
As a General Manager at Border Foods, you take on a pivotal leadership role tasked with reinforcing our core values while driving restaurant success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop and manage a strong, cohesive team dedicated to delivering excellent food and exemplary customer service. The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the restaurant's operations, from scheduling and managing staff to ensuring compliance with food safety and labor laws, maintaining financial performance, and cultivating a positive workplace culture. Border Foods values and rewards commitment and excellence, offering competitive compensation with the potential to earn up to $100,000 annually, including base salary and performance bonuses.
The role demands a leader who can strategically plan for growth while fostering teamwork and empowerment among their staff. General Managers at Border Foods are expected to be hands-on, solution-focused, and dedicated to creating life-improving experiences for both employees and guests. Benefits include outstanding bonus programs, educational opportunities like GED and tuition reimbursement, scholarship offerings, comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits even for part-time employees, paid vacation, sick and holiday leave, and other perks such as a yearly trip to Mexico awarded to top performers. The culture supports career growth through ongoing coaching and development, ensuring team members have the tools and guidance to succeed.
Working at Border Foods means being part of a family dedicated to excellence and inclusion. The company embraces diversity and equal opportunity employment for minorities, women, protected veterans, and individuals with disabilities. As a franchisee of Taco Bell, Border Foods operates independently and offers competitive benefits tailored to meet employees' needs. This job is perfect for motivated individuals with a passion for restaurant management and a commitment to fostering a supportive and high-performing team environment.
