Job Description

KFC Corporation is one of the world's largest and most recognized fast-food restaurant brands, renowned for its signature fried chicken and exceptional customer service. Established over 70 years ago, KFC has developed a global presence with thousands of restaurants in numerous countries. Despite its vast scale, KFC maintains a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and the growth of its employees, which it calls the KFC Family. Each individual restaurant, while affiliated with the brand, can be either corporately owned or franchised, with independent owners operating specific locations. This particular opportunity is with a franchised KFC restaurant located at 5508 NE Gher Rd, Vancouver, WA. As a franchised location, this restaurant offers the chance to lead a vibrant team with the full backing of the globally recognized brand. The franchisee independently oversees employment and operational decisions, but you will have the advantage of working within KFC's well-established processes and support networks.

The role of Restaurant General Manager is a leadership position of significant responsibility that demands dedication, enthusiasm, and a passion for customer service excellence. This full-time position places you at the helm of one of the restaurant’s busiest outlets, where you will be the primary leader driving both business operations and team dynamics. The salary details are determined by the franchisee and can be discussed during the hiring process. Your primary mission will be to ensure that the restaurant consistently meets and exceeds its operational targets, guest satisfaction goals, and financial objectives.

As the Restaurant General Manager, you will take ownership of your restaurant’s success metrics, analyzing daily financial and production activities to inform decisions. You will lead and inspire your team, fostering a positive, family-like atmosphere that encourages collaboration and mutual support. Your leadership will be instrumental in coaching and mentoring team members through training, development, and onboarding initiatives, ensuring they have the tools and motivation to excel in their roles. With a focus on outstanding guest experiences, you will oversee operations to ensure that every customer is greeted with friendly interactions, served fresh and high-quality meals, and that the restaurant environment is clean and safe.

In addition to managing staff and guest relations, you will be responsible for several administrative duties including payroll management, employee onboarding paperwork, compliance with company policies, and maintaining documentation as required by corporate standards and Area Coaches. Your responsibilities will also include careful scheduling to balance customer service needs and cost-effectiveness, maintaining safety standards around cooking equipment and workspaces, and handling cash transactions when necessary.

The ideal candidate will be a goal-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a true business owner’s mindset. With your punctual attendance, enthusiasm, and a smile, you will motivate your team to uphold the highest standards of customer service, food quality, and cleanliness. Physical demands such as heavy lifting, extended standing, and manual dexterity are part of the role, alongside the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding company operations. This position is an excellent opportunity for a professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for the restaurant industry, and a commitment to fostering a welcoming and efficient environment for both guests and staff. KFC Corporation values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer committed to inclusion and compliance with all applicable laws.
