Job Description
Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a dynamic and rapidly growing company specializing in operating multiple restaurant brands including Taco Bell and Arby’s across several states such as California, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, and Alaska. Founded in 2012 starting with a 30-unit Taco Bell operation, DRG has expanded significantly to a multi-brand enterprise managing over 240 restaurant locations and employing more than 6,000 team members. Despite its size, DRG maintains a "small company" feel focused strongly on people-first values, fostering a family atmosphere where every team member is valued as part of the DRG family.
At DRG, their CORE values are straightforward and foundational: respect, integrity, passion, accountability, commitment, and teamwork. These values guide every aspect of their operations and interaction within the company and with customers. The company prides itself on being a supportive employer that offers a suite of unique benefits including grants through the DRG Cares Grant Program to assist employees with life challenges and financial needs, access to exclusive discounts and a savings marketplace, an employee assistance program, education benefits such as GED reimbursement and free second language education, a live Mas scholarship program, an employee referral program, and a financial benefit through DailyPay allowing employees to access paychecks on a daily basis. These benefits underscore DRG’s commitment to supporting the personal and professional lives of their team members.
The General Manager (GM) role at DRG is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of one or more restaurant sites. This leadership position involves not only managing the day-to-day business operations such as recruitment, training, financial management, and food safety compliance but also cultivating a highly skilled, motivated, and high-performing team. The GM serves as the key decision maker for the restaurants, ensuring excellent customer service, food quality, team development, compliance with safety and cleanliness standards, and profitability.
A GM at DRG is also responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture aligned with the company’s core values. This involves providing consistent and clear communication within their teams and with senior leadership, recognizing team and individual achievements, and ensuring all employees are supported and engaged. The role requires a clear understanding of every job within the restaurant, the ability to maintain high operational standards, and a commitment to driving the restaurant’s financial success. The position expects approximately a 50-hour work week with open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of the business.
This position offers a starting pay range between $20 and $26.25 per hour, dependent on experience and availability, reflecting DRG’s dedication to competitive compensation. Candidates will have the opportunity to grow their career within a fast-paced, expanding company that values leadership and development. This is a chance for motivated leaders with proven restaurant experience to join a company that champions both employee and customer satisfaction as its core mission and provides numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth.
