Job Description
P.F. Chang's is a leading upscale casual dining restaurant chain specializing in Asian cuisine, known for its innovative dishes and exceptional customer service. Established as a pioneer in blending traditional Asian flavors with contemporary American dining experiences, P.F. Chang's has built a strong reputation for quality, creativity, and hospitality. The company is committed to creating memorable dining moments for its guests through its unique menu offerings, vibrant atmosphere, and dedication to excellence. Operating numerous locations across the United States and internationally, P.F. Chang's emphasizes growth, employee development, and community involvement as part of its core values.
The role of Operating Partner or General Manager at P.F. Chang's is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive pay range of $85,000 to $105,000 per year based on experience. This leadership position is critical to the success of the restaurant, combining operational management, team leadership, and strategic sales growth to ensure outstanding guest experiences and financial performance. Operating Partners guide the restaurant team by setting high standards of hospitality, professionalism, and innovation while fostering a supportive and cohesive work environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for driving incremental sales and nurturing an ownership culture among team members by leveraging key performance indicators (KPIs) and EBITDA targets. You will serve as a key leader, inspiring your team through coaching, training, and regular performance reviews, while also actively engaging with guests to enhance customer satisfaction and maximize revenue opportunities. This position demands a strong understanding of the local market and the ability to implement effective marketing and operational strategies that align with the brand’s goals.
Your leadership will extend beyond guest interactions, as you will also focus on developing a capable management team through professional development programs to prepare future leaders within the restaurant. Ensuring the highest culinary and hospitality standards, maintaining inventory and cost controls, and managing financial aspects such as profit and loss (P&L) will be essential components of your daily responsibilities. Additionally, the role requires a hands-on approach including occasional duties like providing shift coverage, conducting supply runs, and supporting catering operations.
P.F. Chang's offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, paid time off, performance bonuses, and exclusive employee discounts. The company fosters a supportive community environment, providing financial assistance through its Lucky Cat Fund for qualifying team members during hardships. P.F. Chang's also promotes career growth from within by offering a paid management training program and encourages team members to participate in an employee referral program with generous bonuses. Notably, most locations close on Thanksgiving and Christmas, emphasizing a work-life balance that respects important holidays.
At P.F. Chang's, you will join a passionate team dedicated to celebrating life, family, and food. This is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the hospitality industry while growing your career in a dynamic and rewarding environment. If you thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting and have the ambition to drive business success through exceptional leadership and operational excellence, this position is an excellent fit for you.
