Established in 1953, Denny's has grown into one of the most recognized family dining establishments in the United States and internationally. The company places a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional hospitality, ensuring that every guest experiences a welcoming and satisfying meal every time they visit. Denny's operates more than 1,700 restaurants worldwide, creating thousands of jobs and continuously expanding its market presence with a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. The company fosters a dynamic work environment that rewards strong leadership, operational excellence, and an unwavering focus on customer service.
The position available is for a Restaurant General Manager at the Denny's location situated at 1605 NW Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80204, within the property identified as 7203 Dennys. This role reports directly to the Area Director or District Manager and is classified as non-exempt. The General Manager position typically requires working 50 to 55 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the demanding but rewarding nature of restaurant management in a 24/7 service business.
As a Restaurant General Manager, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, overseeing all facets from sales growth, profit objectives, operational execution, to ensuring an outstanding guest experience. The General Manager collaboratively develops strategic operating plans with senior leadership that align with the company’s vision and growth targets. This includes managing staffing schedules, training programs to develop both new and existing team members, inventory control, maintaining quality standards, and enforcing safety and sanitation regulations. You will monitor and manage all controllable expenses such as labor costs, food costs, and operating expenses, while analyzing financial performance reports and initiating improvement strategies.
Customer satisfaction is paramount in this role. You will lead operational activities to ensure the environment is clean and pleasant and that service quality meets the highest standards. You are expected to handle customer feedback proactively and foster a culture that embodies the company’s values, promoting respect, positivity, and flexibility among your staff. In addition to staff management, you will participate in recruitment, selection, and disciplinary processes, maintaining compliance with employment standards and legal regulations.
The General Manager must exhibit strong leadership abilities, facilitating open communication, resolving conflicts constructively, and adapting to the dynamic demands of the hospitality industry. This role demands a hands-on approach and a commitment to upholding Denny’s hospitality and operational excellence standards while maintaining a safe and efficient workplace environment. This pivotal position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on business growth and customer loyalty through team leadership and operational expertise.
