Job Description

La Vigneta Winery & Restaurant is an upscale Italian-inspired winery and dining establishment that prides itself on offering a unique blend of craftsmanship, hospitality, and story-telling through its exceptional culinary and wine experiences. Located in a prime destination, La Vigneta is not just a restaurant but a carefully curated experience designed to captivate guests with authentic Italian flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The establishment places a strong emphasis on quality and detail, ensuring that every guest’s visit is memorable, whether they are coming for a casual meal, a private event, or to enjoy fine wine from their renowned winery.

The winery side of La Vigneta boasts strong distribution channels, extending across state lines, which underpins the brand’s reputation for quality and excellence. The restaurant complements this by providing an elegant dining experience deeply rooted in Italian traditions and culinary artistry. The ambiance is polished and vibrant, aiming to create a high-energy environment that welcomes both returning patrons and newcomers alike. La Vigneta is dedicated to building a destination that goes beyond average dining by focusing on excellence in every facet, from the quality of ingredients to service standards.

The General Manager role at La Vigneta Winery & Restaurant is a pivotal position that offers a unique leadership opportunity for a driven and experienced hospitality professional. The company is looking for a high-performing General Manager who operates with an owner’s mindset, able to elevate the guest experience, increase restaurant revenue, and build a cohesive, high-performing team. This role involves hands-on leadership with significant responsibilities spanning operational management, marketing, team development, and financial oversight. The successful candidate will be instrumental in turning a bold vision into reality by executing strategic initiatives that enhance revenue growth and operational efficiency.

Currently, the restaurant is positioned for an ambitious growth phase, with a key objective to double its weekly sales from $30,000 to $60,000 within six months. This growth will be driven by stronger marketing initiatives, operational consistency, and an enhanced guest experience. The General Manager will spearhead efforts to improve service standards, drive revenue across all channels including bar and events, and foster an energized team culture dedicated to excellence.

Key responsibilities include overseeing guest service excellence, setting and maintaining polished and scalable service standards, managing the Profit & Loss statement, and activating slower business nights through targeted strategies. The role also involves elevating the bar area to become a destination in its own right, developing private events, corporate bookings, and catering, as well as leading social media, promotions, and partnership initiatives. The General Manager will be responsible for hiring, training, and developing staff while ensuring operational standards, scheduling, and labor management are efficiently handled.

This position requires a commitment to working five days a week with shifts averaging 10 hours, including nights and weekends, reflecting the hospitality industry’s dynamic nature. Compensation includes a competitive base salary complemented by a performance bonus tied to revenue growth, profitability, event success, and guest satisfaction, making this opportunity rewarding for the right candidate looking to make a significant impact in a growing hospitality business.
