Job Description
Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a prominent multi-brand restaurant operator with a strong presence across several states in the US including California, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, and Alaska. Founded in 2012 with a modest portfolio of 30 Taco Bell locations, DRG has expanded impressively to operate over 240 restaurants. This growth demonstrates the company’s commitment to excellence and its ability to adapt and thrive in a competitive marketplace. DRG prides itself on fostering a culture that feels like a family, despite its size of over 6,000 team members. The company emphasizes core values such as respect, integrity, passion, accountability, commitment, and teamwork, guiding its daily operations and interactions within the organization.
The company operates Taco Bell and Arby’s franchises, which means it combines the benefits and recognition of established global brands with the day-to-day culture and values of a supportive, employee-first organization. As a large franchisee, DRG provides opportunities for career growth, education, and financial assistance, ensuring that employees have access to the resources and support they need to thrive professionally and personally.
The General Manager role at DRG is a leadership position requiring a dynamic and experienced individual who is passionate about building and developing strong teams. This position oversees operational excellence across assigned restaurants, focusing on people development, customer service, food safety, quality control, restaurant cleanliness, and profitability. The General Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, and mentoring team members while enforcing the company’s policies and maintaining high standards aligned with brand expectations. Key to success in this role is maintaining clear communication with both field leadership and staff, as well as acting as the ultimate decision-maker to ensure all aspects of restaurant performance are optimized.
Compensation for the General Manager role starts between $18.50 and $24.00 per hour, depending on experience and availability, and includes a comprehensive benefits package. DRG supports its employees through unique programs such as the DRG Cares Grant Program for financial assistance, employee assistance programs, educational benefits including GED reimbursement and language education, scholarships, referral incentives, and flexible payroll options like DailyPay.
The role requires a candidate who can work approximately 50 hours per week with open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the varied and demanding nature of restaurant management. The ability to pass certifications such as SERV Safe and to uphold health and safety regulations is essential. The General Manager position offers a challenging and rewarding career path within a company that values personal and professional growth and recognizes the contributions of each team member.
