The Restaurant Manager role at Indus Hospitality Group is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the entire restaurant operation to ensure it adheres to brand standards, company policies, and applicable laws. This leadership role demands a hands-on manager who can perform all tasks alongside their team members and lead by example. The manager's core responsibilities encompass delivering outstanding guest experiences, optimizing operational processes, and driving the restaurant's financial performance. In this role, the Restaurant Manager will lead team meetings, conduct training sessions, and foster a culture centered around guest satisfaction. They will be expected to implement new product rollouts effectively, analyze customer feedback to improve service, and maintain stringent safety and sanitation standards to comply with health regulations.

Furthermore, the Restaurant Manager will handle operational duties such as inventory management, labor scheduling, supplier ordering, and cash handling while ensuring the restaurant meets its budgetary goals. Preferred candidates should have experience in cash management, conflict resolution, and employee development. This role requires strong communication skills for disseminating restaurant priorities and results to the team and involves collaborating with the Field Operations team. The manager is also responsible for recruitment, onboarding, performance appraisal, and coaching team members to boost sales and improve guest satisfaction. Job Duties

  • Able to perform all responsibilities of restaurant team members
  • Lead team meetings
  • Deliver training to restaurant team members
  • Ensure brand standards, recipes and systems are executed
  • Create and maintain a guest focused culture in the restaurant
  • Review guest feedback results and implement action plans to drive improvement
  • Communicate restaurant priorities, goals, and results to restaurant team members
  • Execute new product rollouts including training, marketing and sampling
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety, and sanitation requirements and complying with all applicable laws
  • Control costs to help maximize profitability
  • Complete inventory on a periodic basis as determined by Indus policy
  • Complete weekly labor schedule ensuring all shifts are staffed to meet guest demand and service standards
  • Complete supplier and other vendor orders
  • Conduct self-assessments and corresponding action plans
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable privacy regulations
  • Ensure restaurant budget is met as determined by operations above-unit leadership
  • Manage cash over/short in restaurant and ensure team members follow Indus’ cash management policies
  • Handle cash deposits and go to the bank daily during bank hours
  • Engage with Brands Field Operations team as appropriate
  • Recruit, hire, onboard and develop restaurant team members
  • Plan, monitor, appraise and review employee performance
  • Coach restaurant team members to drive sales, improve profitability, and guest satisfaction
