Job Description
Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a prominent restaurant franchisee managing over 240 units of Taco Bell and Arby's restaurants across several states including California, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, and Alaska. Founded in 2012 with a modest beginning of 30 Taco Bell units, the company has witnessed exceptional growth transforming into a multi-brand operation with over 6,000 employees and counting. DRG prides itself on its "people first" philosophy, fostering a company culture with a small company feel despite its large size. The company places great emphasis on its core values of respect, integrity, passion, accountability, commitment, and teamwork, which resonate throughout its operations and among its workforce. As a dynamic player in the fast-food industry, DRG continuously pursues excellence in customer service, food quality, and operational efficiency, making it a rewarding and growth-oriented workplace.
The General Manager (GM) role at DRG is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the full scope of restaurant operations. This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can build and develop a high-performing team by providing training, clear direction, and recognition. The GM manages recruiting, training, P&L oversight, and day-to-day operations to ensure customer satisfaction, food safety, store cleanliness, and operational profitability. They act as a liaison between the restaurant and company leadership, reinforcing the culture and values that make DRG unique. Successful GMs are hands-on leaders who understand every aspect of restaurant work and hold ultimate accountability for the location's performance. This role requires significant communication and people skills along with a commitment to driving standards for quality and service.
Compensation for this role starts between $18.50 to $24 per hour based on experience and availability, reflecting the company's commitment to rewarding leadership talent. Employment typically involves about a 50-hour workweek and requires open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. As part of DRG's comprehensive benefits package, employees access programs such as the DRG Cares Grant Program for additional financial assistance, a Savings Marketplace for exclusive discounts, an Employee Assistance Program, scholarships, referral bonuses, and educational benefits including GED reimbursement and language learning support. Additionally, the DailyPay program enables employees to access their paychecks daily, supporting financial flexibility and wellbeing.
Joining DRG as a General Manager offers a unique opportunity to lead at a fast-growing company with a strong culture and abundant options for personal and professional growth. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping restaurant success by cultivating talented teams and ensuring exceptional operational standards are met consistently. This position is ideal for motivated leaders passionate about the food service industry, committed to excellence, and eager to contribute to a community-focused company that values its people and growth prospects.
