Job Description
Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a rapidly growing restaurant management company that operates multiple brands including Taco Bell and Arby's across several states such as California, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, and Alaska. Established in 2012, DRG has grown from managing 30 Taco Bell units to over 240 units today, making it a prominent multi-brand operator in the fast-food industry. With a workforce of more than 6,000 team members, DRG emphasizes a strong family culture within its operations, fostering an environment where employees are valued and supported. The company's core values of respect, integrity, passion, accountability, commitment, and teamwork guide all its business practices and interactions, ensuring a people-first approach that drives its success and rapid expansion.
The role of General Manager at DRG is a leadership position critical to the operational excellence and continued growth of the company. This position offers a starting pay range of $18.50 to $24 per hour based on experience and availability, reflecting the company’s commitment to attract skilled and dynamic leaders. The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, safety, cleanliness, and profitability. This includes managing recruitment, training, team development, and performance management to build and sustain a motivated, efficient workforce. Excellence in operational management is expected as the General Manager is tasked with meeting financial goals, maintaining compliance with company policies, and driving the culture and values of the organization at the store level.
As a leader within DRG, the General Manager will develop a team of high-potential individuals into effective leaders, fostering a workplace where every team member feels appreciated and motivated to contribute their best. The role demands proficiency in all restaurant functions, enabling the General Manager to lead by example and make informed decisions promptly. Maintaining clear and consistent communication with field leadership and restaurant staff is key to aligning the team with organizational objectives. Given the fast-paced and demanding nature of the restaurant industry, this position requires a flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to work approximately 50 hours per week.
DRG supports its employees with several benefits geared towards personal and professional development and well-being. These include the DRG Cares Grant Program which provides financial assistance during life challenges, access to exclusive discounts through the DRG Savings Marketplace, an Employee Assistance Program, educational opportunities such as scholarship and GED reimbursement programs, a referral program, and innovative payroll access options like DailyPay. DRG’s commitment to creating a rewarding and supportive environment makes it an excellent choice for ambitious leaders seeking to grow their careers in the restaurant industry with a company that values its people and embraces a strong culture of respect and integrity.
