Job Description
Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a reputable and rapidly expanding restaurant management company known for its commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Since its inception with a 30-unit Taco Bell business in 2012, DRG has experienced substantial growth and now operates over 240 locations spanning multiple brands, including Taco Bell outlets in California, Kansas, Missouri, and Nevada, as well as Arby's restaurants in Alaska, California, and Nevada. With a dedicated workforce of more than 6,000 team members, DRG fosters a workplace environment that emphasizes the values of respect, integrity, passion, accountability, commitment, and teamwork. The company prides itself on maintaining a unique culture that combines the resources of a large organization with the close-knit feel of a small company.
As a General Manager at DRG, you will play a pivotal role in steering restaurant operations, driving financial success, and fostering a positive team culture. This leadership position entails overseeing all aspects of restaurant management, including recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing team, ensuring the delivery of superior customer service, maintaining food safety standards, and upholding store cleanliness. The General Manager is responsible for managing the P&L, ensuring that each restaurant operates profitably while delivering high-quality food and an outstanding customer experience.
This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can build strong teams and motivate staff through clear, consistent communication and recognition of individual and group achievements. You will act as a liaison with other leadership levels within the company, facilitating effective communication and ensuring alignment with the company’s core values. This position involves maintaining stringent standards around food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, making sure the restaurant environment is welcoming and professional. The role demands accountability for all restaurant performance aspects and the ability to make decisive operational judgments.
The General Manager position offers a competitive starting pay range of $18.50 to $24 per hour, depending on experience and availability. DRG provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports the well-being and growth of its employees, including innovative programs such as the DRG Cares Grant Program for financial assistance, the DRG Savings Marketplace for exclusive employee discounts, an Employee Assistance Program, and educational benefits such as GED reimbursement and free second language education. The company also offers DailyPay, enabling employees to access their paychecks daily, and opportunities for scholarships and employee referrals, emphasizing growth and support within the organization.
DRG is seeking candidates who are at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma, and have a minimum of two years of restaurant experience with proven leadership on various shifts. Applicants must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, maintain a current Health Card, and have reliable transportation. Additionally, passing a criminal background check, including a motor vehicle record check, and successfully completing the SERV Safe Certification Course and Exam are required. This position typically entails a 50-hour workweek with open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, adapting to the fluctuating needs of the business.
Working at DRG means joining a family-oriented company dedicated to the professional development of its employees, providing a supportive environment where leaders are nurtured, and success is shared. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to advance their careers in restaurant management within a fast-growing, values-driven organization.
