The role of the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) at KFC is pivotal in driving the success and smooth operation of a restaurant location. Job Duties

  • Ownership of your restaurant’s success metrics and lead restaurant team to reach goals
  • Lead guest experiences that include friendly interactions, clean restaurant and fresh meals
  • Manage all daily restaurant operations including food preparation, service, safety, and cleanliness
  • Maintain full compliance with KFC standards and all local/state health regulations
  • Execute marketing promotions and ensure product quality and consistency
  • Recruit, train, and develop Shift Supervisors and Team Members
  • Grow and mentor team through training and onboarding
  • Lead communications of team goals, promotions, and business updates
  • Inspire positive and collaborative environment
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and weekly performance reviews
  • Control labor, food cost, and other controllable expenses
  • Complete reports including sales, inventory, and cash handling
  • Review daily sales and labor performance and take corrective action if needed
  • Ensure every guest receives exceptional service and product quality
  • Address guest feedback promptly and professionally
  • Implement programs to drive repeat business and increase sales
  • Enforce safety, sanitation, and security procedures
  • Maintain accurate team records, schedules, and timekeeping
  • Ensure restaurant is inspection-ready
  • Communicate daily with Area Coach regarding performance and opportunities
  • Ensure all training certifications and brand programs are completed on schedule
  • Lead by example with high standards in customer service, food quality and cleanliness
  • Mentor and coach team effectively through training and development
  • Build team through selecting and onboarding new hires
  • Take pride in work and maintain goal-oriented leadership
  • Greet guests warmly within 5 seconds and use positive phrases
  • Take accurate orders quickly and confirm them clearly
  • Maintain professionalism and calm attitude during busy periods
  • Offer value items or upgrades using suggestive selling language
  • Thank guests sincerely and invite them back
