Job Description
Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a dynamic and rapidly expanding company that specializes in operating a diverse portfolio of quick-service restaurant brands, primarily Taco Bell and Arby's. Founded in 2012 as a 30-unit Taco Bell business, DRG has grown exponentially into a multi-brand operation managing over 240 locations across several states including California, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, and Alaska. With a dedicated workforce exceeding 6,000 team members, DRG prides itself on maintaining a "people first" culture that combines the benefits and opportunities of a large corporation with the close-knit, family-oriented atmosphere of a small company. The company is committed to fostering growth and development for every employee, emphasizing core values such as respect, integrity, passion, accountability, commitment, and teamwork.
The role of a General Manager (GM) at DRG is both challenging and rewarding, ideally suited for a dynamic and experienced leader who aspires to grow with a fast-growing and innovative company. As a GM, you will serve as a key leader responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the restaurant, which includes managing profit and loss (P&L), recruiting and training top-tier talent, and ensuring exceptional customer service standards are consistently met. This position plays a critical role in maintaining and elevating food quality, food safety, and store cleanliness while driving maximum profitability. The GM will be deeply involved in developing a high-performing team by providing clear and consistent direction, recognizing achievements, and empowering employees to succeed.
This position offers a competitive starting pay range of $19.50 to $26.25 per hour based on experience and availability, reflecting the importance of the role in maintaining operational excellence. The GM will handle a variety of responsibilities including facilitating communication between restaurant teams and field leadership, acting as a liaison to support company culture and values, and ultimately serving as the primary decision-maker for their assigned locations. You will also be expected to have a working knowledge of every operational role within the restaurant to provide effective leadership and support.
DRG is highly committed to the growth and well-being of its employees, offering an extensive benefits package including programs such as the DRG Cares Grant Program, employee assistance programs, access to exclusive discounts, education benefits including GED reimbursement and second language education, and unique financial programs like DailyPay which allows employees to receive paychecks daily. These benefits underscore the company’s dedication to creating a supportive work environment that addresses both professional and personal development.
Candidates who thrive in this role are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A successful GM at DRG is a strong communicator, an effective team builder, and a committed leader who upholds the company’s core values while driving operational success and fostering a positive workplace culture.
