We are currently seeking a seasoned and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead this exciting new concept. The Restaurant General Manager will be responsible for the full operation and administration of the restaurant department, ensuring the seamless execution of daily activities while upholding the highest standards of service and quality. This pivotal role requires a balance of strong business acumen and hospitality expertise, as the manager will drive profitability while simultaneously providing exceptional food and beverage experiences for every guest.

In this capacity, the Restaurant General Manager will play a crucial leadership role, developing and maintaining a motivated and competent restaurant staff. The manager will oversee hiring, training, coaching, and daily supervision of restaurant employees, including supervisors and assistant managers, to ensure that the team consistently delivers superior service. Collaboration with other hotel departments will also be essential, positioning the restaurant as a harmonious and integral part of the Hotel Spero experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or general education degree (GED)
  • work equivalent experience
  • previous hotel restaurant experience preferred
  • management experience required
  • basic computer skills
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred
  • experience with hotel restaurant systems such as MICROS preferred

Job Duties

  • Work with members of the food and beverage team in menu planning and development
  • drive restaurant revenues through marketing, promotion and up selling efforts
  • effectively manage restaurant budget
  • investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations
  • schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
  • monitor food portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner
  • monitor budgets and payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditure is authorized and budgeted
