The role of the Restaurant General Manager at KFC is a pivotal leadership position entrusted with overseeing the daily operations, team development, and financial success of the restaurant. As the number one leader in your store, you will be responsible for driving the restaurant’s success metrics and ensuring that every guest has a great experience through friendly interactions, cleanliness, and fresh meals. You will lead the recruitment, training, and mentorship of your KFC family, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment that encourages growth and excellence. Your leadership will extend beyond your restaurant through partnerships with other general managers and area leaders, all working in concert to push the business forward. From managing employee paperwork, payroll, and schedules to maintaining safety, compliance, and store documentation, your role requires strong organizational skills and an ownership mindset.

Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
previous management experience in quick-service restaurant or similar environment
strong leadership and team-building skills
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
ability to handle payroll and employee documentation
physical ability to lift weights ranging from 25 to 85 pounds
capacity to stand for long periods
must maintain confidentiality and handle cash responsibly
punctual attendance
willingness to work in fast-paced and sometimes confined settings
understanding of safety procedures around hot kitchen equipment

Job Duties

Ownership of your restaurant's success metrics and lead restaurant team to reach goals
Lead the guest experiences in your restaurant that includes friendly interactions, a clean restaurant and fresh meals
Grow and mentor your KFC family through training, development and onboarding new team members
Lead communications of your team's goals, upcoming promotions, business updates, etc
Inspire the overall positive and collaborative family environment
Partner with other Restaurant General Managers and Area Leaders to grow and move the business forward
Reviewing and submitting payroll
Completing employee new hire paperwork
Completing employee change forms and termination forms
Grow and mentor your KFC family through training, development and onboarding new team members
Ensure the store is operated in a safe and clean manner at all times
Ensure work schedules are adequate to meet customer service requirements but are also cost effective
Ensure that the store is operated in compliance with Company policies and procedures
Daily record keeping of the store financial and production activities
Maintaining documentation as specified by their Area Coach, Director of Operations and Human Resources
Mentors and coaches team effectively through training and development resources
Builds a team through selecting and onboarding new hires
Takes absolute pride in everything you do
