Job Description

107 Bistro & Wine Bar (107) is a distinguished dining establishment nestled within the charming historic patio of Testarossa Winery. Specializing in California cuisine, 107 offers a unique culinary experience by blending classic tapas-style dishes with modern flavors, utilizing locally sourced, fresh ingredients. Guests can enjoy these exquisite dishes alongside a stellar selection of award-winning wines, creating a perfect harmony of food and beverage in a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. The bistro operates Thursday through Sunday and on holiday Mondays, providing an exclusive outdoor dining ambiance that highlights the beauty and history of the winery setting. The restaurant's commitment to excellence has been recognized through numerous accolades, including over 1,900 wine scores of 90 points or higher, the Best Wine Bar award since 2018 by Mercury News, and honors from the prestigious Confrerie de la Chaine des Rotisseurs.

The role of Floor Supervisor at 107 Bistro & Wine Bar is a vital leadership position designed for a hospitality professional passionate about wine and exceptional guest experiences. This full-time, hourly non-exempt position involves supporting the daily courtyard dining operations, ensuring that each guest encounter is memorable and exceeds expectations. The Floor Supervisor leads by example, maintaining high standards of hospitality, service, and wine knowledge, while overseeing the front-of-house team to foster a professional, motivated, and well-trained staff. Responsibilities include service leadership during shifts, daily staff oversight, and coordinating seamless communication between the front and back of the house to ensure efficient operations. This role also covers direct service duties on slower days or when needing to fill in for servers.

The Floor Supervisor is expected to cultivate strong relationships with Wine Club members, promote membership naturally, and assist in coordinating live music programming to enhance the guest experience. Leadership tasks involve conducting pre-shift briefings that showcase menu highlights, wine offerings, and promotions, as well as inspiring team members to uphold impeccable service standards. Operational responsibilities include preparing and maintaining guest-facing areas, partnering with the kitchen for smooth service, overseeing ambiance, cleanliness, and presentation, managing inventory and restocking, and communicating operational needs to management.

Additionally, the Supervisor plays a key role in team development by reinforcing training, recognizing achievements, and keeping the team informed and engaged with current offerings, events, and promotions. Administrative duties include POS setup, scheduling support, tip tracking, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service standards. The Floor Supervisor contributes to a positive and safe work environment that promotes a sense of community among staff while achieving revenue goals and generating positive guest reviews.

This position offers robust benefits including hourly pay plus tips, 10 paid holidays, up to three weeks of vacation annually, and more than eight sick days per year. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance is provided with 80% coverage by Testarossa Winery, alongside a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching. Additional perks include flexible spending accounts, a 50% discount on all wines, long-term disability and life insurance, an employee assistance program, and an employee referral program. Staff enjoy working in a beautiful, historic environment with passionate colleagues dedicated to providing outstanding hospitality and an exceptional winery dining experience.
