Job Description

Eataly is the world’s largest artisanal Italian food and beverage marketplace, renowned globally for offering authentic Italian culinary experiences. The company distinguishes itself by creating unique environments in each location, rather than functioning as a uniform chain. Every Eataly venue has its own character and theme, yet they all share the common aim of delivering an immersive Italian experience to their guests. Customers can enjoy dining at Eataly’s restaurants, cafes, and to-go counters, shop a carefully curated selection of high-quality Italian, local, and homemade products, and engage in learning through hands-on classes and the knowledgeable team’s expert guidance. Eataly is continuously expanding across major cities in North America, inviting talented and motivated candidates interested in growth and mobility to join their vibrant team.

The Restaurant Manager role at Eataly is a dynamic and vital position that supports the Restaurant Assistant General Manager (AGM) with overseeing the daily front-of-house operations within Eataly’s full-service restaurants. This role requires strong leadership in managing restaurant staff including servers, bartenders, food runners, hosts, bussers, and barbacks. The Restaurant Manager is entrusted with responsibilities ranging from human resources functions such as hiring, training, and evaluating employees, to maintaining high service standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing inventory and ordering, as well as budgeting through financial reviews of sales and costs. The position demands a dedicated individual who can maintain exceptional service quality and operational efficiency.

The annual compensation for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000, reflecting the importance and expectations tied to the role. Candidates should be ready to work onsite with a flexible schedule that often includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina is also required to meet the dynamic nature of restaurant operations, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sustain mobility activities such as standing, walking, bending, and squatting for extended periods. While not mandatory, holding a Food Handler’s License is preferred. Eataly emphasizes a collaborative work culture with opportunities for professional development within a growing company that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company is committed to providing a welcoming and equitable environment for all employees regardless of background, while offering comprehensive benefits and perks such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and much more. Joining Eataly means becoming part of a passionate team dedicated to celebrating and sharing authentic Italian food and culture in an unparalleled marketplace setting.
