Located at 100 Carondelet Place in Clayton, Missouri, this position is a full-time, non-management role within the Food and Beverage and Culinary department. The role primarily focuses on event sales coordination, with responsibilities that include pre-event consultations with coordinators or group hosts to confirm and refine banquet preparations. It involves analyzing banquet orders to gather guest information, planning event organization, timelines, and special guest needs, as well as overseeing buffet and food station arrangements. The position requires a strong attention to detail to ensure all special preparations for banquets are met and to follow up on these preparations to guarantee flawless execution.
Candidates will need to support and uphold company safety policies while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor. This comprehensive position expects the associate to assist team members, maintain confidentiality, and uphold company quality assurance standards. Physically, the role involves some moderate lifting, standing or walking for extended periods, and the ability to navigate various event spaces safely. Excellent communication skills are necessary for engaging with guests and teams professionally, including adhering to phone etiquette. Weekend and holiday availability is preferred, reflecting the nature of events and guest needs in hospitality. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous event sales experience is a must
- Availability to work weekends and holidays preferred
- Ability to comply with company safety policies
- Capability to lift, move, and stand for extended periods

- At least one year of related work experience
- Previous event sales experience

Job Duties
- Meet with group coordinators or hosts before receptions
- Conduct presentations and ensure all event preparations are agreed upon
- Review banquet order details to gather guest information and plan event logistics
- Attend to and fulfill special banquet preparations
- Follow up on banquet preparation compliance
- Comply with all company safety policies and report maintenance or safety issues
- Ensure professional appearance and uphold company privacy and property protection
- Support coworkers with dignity and respect
- Assist with moving, lifting, standing, and walking as required during events
- Communicate clearly with guests and staff using professional language
- Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors
