The available position is a full-time, non-management role within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, based at the Clayton, Missouri location. This commission-based role comes with full benefits, including free parking and employee meals, enhancing the overall employee experience. The position provides the unique opportunity to be part of the esteemed team known as The Ritz-Carlton Ladies and Gentlemen, individuals who create lifelong memories for guests through thoughtful and gracious service.
In this role, the successful candidate will act as a key liaison between the hotel and group coordinators or hosts prior to events and functions. This involves making introductions, reviewing banquet event orders to analyze guest information, determining proper setup, managing timelines, and addressing specific guest needs such as buffets and action stations. The role requires a proactive approach to fulfilling special banquet event arrangements and ensuring that all company and safety policies are strictly adhered to. Candidates who possess previous event sales experience and prefer weekend and holiday availability will find themselves well-positioned to excel in this dynamic environment.
The role also demands excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and the capacity to foster positive working relationships across teams to achieve collective goals. Physical demands include standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, as well as the ability to safely move, lift, and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The candidate must have the ability to move through narrow and elevated spaces and navigate various surfaces such as stairs and ramps. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous event sales experience is a must
- Weekend and holiday availability preferred
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to move through narrow and elevated spaces
- Ability to follow safety and security policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to professionalism and company standards
Job Qualifications

- At least one year of related work experience, preferably in event sales

Job Duties
- Meet group coordinator or host prior to functions and make introductions
- Read and analyze banquet event orders to gather guest information and determine proper setup
- Respond to and fulfill special banquet event arrangements
- Follow all company safety and security policies and report any accidents or unsafe conditions
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and anticipate service needs
