Job Description

Cafe Zupas is a vibrant and rapidly growing restaurant brand known for serving house-made and globally inspired soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. The company's commitment to real, whole food prepared fresh daily on-site sets it apart in the fast-casual dining industry. Cafe Zupas emphasizes quality by sourcing the best ingredients and making everything in-house, ensuring a superior dining experience for its guests. Established in 2004, the company has expanded to over 85 kitchens across eight states, with plans for continued growth. Its culture centers on positivity, gratitude, and teamwork, fostering an environment where employees feel energized and valued. Cafe Zupas is dedicated to nurturing its team members through ongoing, thorough training and offering clear career advancement paths. The brand also provides a supportive work environment with set schedules, two days off weekly, closed Sundays and holidays, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes 401K, paid time off, and free meals. The company prides itself on creating a fun, modern, and energetic workplace, avoiding the use of grease, grills, or fryers in its kitchens, which aligns with its health-focused mission. It offers competitive pay and even rewards its team with annual international incentive trips, making it an attractive employer for those seeking a dynamic role in restaurant management.

As a District Manager at Cafe Zupas, you will play a pivotal role in the continued success and expansion of the brand. This leadership position involves working directly alongside restaurant leaders in your designated area, spending two to three days at a time in individual locations to offer guidance, direction, and constructive feedback. Your primary responsibility will be to support all assigned restaurant leaders as they strive to meet key targets for sales, labor, and food cost management. Cultivating a culture of positivity and gratitude throughout your team is fundamental to the role, as is building a strong pipeline of future leaders by mentoring and developing talent within the organization. Collaborating with Talent Mentors to maintain optimal staffing levels across your restaurants is crucial to operational success.

The ideal candidate for the District Manager position will have two to five years of multi-unit leadership experience and be available to work a consistent five-day schedule. Strong leadership skills, coupled with a proven ability to mentor teams, develop individuals, and drive sales growth within a multi-unit environment, are essential. Enthusiasm, positivity, adaptability to new systems and processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting are also key attributes for success in this role. Joining Cafe Zupas means becoming part of a collaborative team that values innovation, challenges the norms of the restaurant industry, and strives to create spaces where both employees and guests feel inspired and energized. If you are passionate about leadership, quality food, and building a thriving team culture, this opportunity at Cafe Zupas could be the perfect fit for you.
