Job Description

Cafe Zupas is a rapidly growing restaurant brand known for serving house-made and globally-inspired soups, salads, sandwiches, and desserts. Founded in 2004, Cafe Zupas prides itself on using real, whole ingredients prepared fresh daily in its next-generation kitchens. With a commitment to quality, the company sources the best ingredients and prepares everything in-house, ensuring an exceptional food experience for every guest. As of now, Cafe Zupas operates over 85 locations across 8 states and continues to expand rapidly, joining new communities each year. This growth reflects not only the brand's popularity among guests but also significant career opportunities for its team members. Cafe Zupas fosters a culture of positivity and gratitude, believing that their team plays a vital role in making the concept successful. The company values collaboration, innovation, and trusts its people, supporting them with ongoing training and clearly outlined career paths. The work environment is modern, energetic, and reflects a fun, supportive culture where expectations are set and met without guessing.

The role of District Manager at Cafe Zupas is a dynamic leadership position that involves overseeing multiple restaurant locations within an assigned area. District Managers play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence and helping restaurant leaders meet ambitious targets related to sales, labor management, and food costs. This role requires working closely with restaurant leadership teams to provide direction, coaching, and feedback on-site, spending 2-3 days at a time in each location. District Managers help cultivate a positive and engaging workplace culture, build strong leadership benches by developing future leaders, and collaborate with Talent Mentors to maintain proper staffing levels across all assigned restaurants. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of multi-unit leadership experience, a strong background in mentoring teams, and a proven record of growing sales in fast-paced environments. District Managers are expected to be enthusiastic, adaptable, and driven individuals who thrive on working in a collaborative, ambitious setting.

Cafe Zupas offers its District Managers a competitive pay structure and an attractive benefits package, including 401K, paid time off, and free meals. The company supports a healthy work-life balance with a set five-day work schedule, two days off, closure on Sundays, and holiday closures. Employees also benefit from an annual international incentive trip, a focus on real food with no grease, grills, or fryers, and ongoing development through comprehensive training programs. Becoming part of Cafe Zupas means joining a forward-thinking organization that challenges the norms of the restaurant industry while prioritizing the well-being of its team members and guests alike. This is an excellent opportunity for leaders looking to grow their careers in a vibrant, stable company environment that values positivity, teamwork, and continual growth.
