Job Description

Wonder is a dynamic and innovative food tech company committed to revolutionizing the dining experience by making world-class food accessible to everyone. Operating as a mealtime platform, Wonder allows customers to enjoy a diverse selection of over 20 exclusive restaurants in a single order with no delivery fees. Whether it’s tacos, Thai, or any other cuisine, every dish is freshly made to order on-site by a dedicated culinary team and served hot, ensuring quality, variety, and consistency. The company takes pride in managing the entire dining experience from recipe development to the technology powering the platform, making it unique in the industry. Wonder focuses on growth and inclusivity, continuously expanding its team and offering exciting career opportunities in a fast-growing environment.

The Team Member role at Wonder is a vital position designed for individuals who are passionate about food and hospitality. This role offers both full-time and part-time employment options and is based in Gaithersburg, with a pay rate starting at $18.00 per hour. Additionally, overnight shifts receive a premium of $2.00 per hour for work done between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM. There are also opportunities to earn more through advancements such as becoming a Certified Team Member or Trainer, adding additional hourly pay. Working as a Team Member at Wonder means becoming part of a fast-paced, supportive, and engaging atmosphere where you can learn new skills, grow your career, and contribute to delivering exceptional food and hospitality.

In this role, candidates will have the opportunity to master multiple roles daily, contributing both to culinary excellence and superior customer service. Key responsibilities include preparing menu items to Wonder’s high standards while maintaining cleanliness and organization in workstations. Team Members will also follow strict food safety guidelines, manage inventory, and ensure orders are accurate before leaving the kitchen. Beyond food preparation, the role involves delivering incredible hospitality by warmly greeting guests, assisting with orders and pickups, supporting meal-kit and delivery operations, and participating in light local marketing events.

The role emphasizes teamwork, organization, and communication skills, all while maintaining an energetic and positive work environment. Team Members will also be responsible for maintaining hygiene and sanitation by keeping kitchens and dining areas clean, managing cookware and equipment, and properly handling waste. Wonder is dedicated to employee development and provides real growth opportunities into Trainer and Supervisor roles. Benefits include free meals during shifts, employee discounts, enhanced pay on company holidays, comprehensive health insurance options, employer-paid life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, health savings account matches, and employee stock options.

Wonder is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring fair hiring practices and non-discrimination across various protective classes. The company uses an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) in its hiring process, evaluating candidates objectively based on potential. Team Members must meet basic employment requirements including legal work authorization and physical capabilities. Overall, working at Wonder offers a vibrant and stable work environment where employees are valued, supported, and given the chance to grow and succeed.
