Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory
- Previous experience in cooking or related kitchen work preferred
- Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work full time or part time
- Willingness to follow health and safety procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Previous cook, line cook, prep cook, sous chef or other back of house experience is beneficial
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory
- Food Handlers certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to follow recipes and special dietary restrictions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food items according to the menu, recipes, and special dietary or nutritional restrictions
- Determine food and supplies needed to keep the kitchen running and stocked during service
- Ensure proper health procedures are followed in the kitchen
- Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food preparation
- Adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in receiving and storing food supplies
