Job Description
Applebee's Grill + Bar - Belden Village is part of the well-known Applebee's neighborhood grill and bar franchise, located in North Canton, OH. Applebee's has established a reputation for offering a friendly dining environment and a diverse menu that features classic American dishes with a contemporary twist. The chain emphasizes a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel comfortable coming together to enjoy delicious food and drinks. The Belden Village location follows this tradition by providing exceptional service and quality food in a clean, inviting environment. With a focus on community and customer experience, Applebee's strives to be a preferred gathering spot for families, friends, and colleagues in the area.
The Restaurant Cook position at Applebee's Grill + Bar - Belden Village is available to both full-time and part-time candidates, providing flexibility for individuals with varying schedules. This essential role focuses on the preparation of food items that meet or exceed the hospitality and service standards set by the restaurant. The cook is accountable for preparing menu items according to specific recipes while accommodating dietary restrictions and nutritional considerations when necessary. Maintaining food quality, appearance, and proper hygiene standards is a critical part of the responsibilities. By managing food supply and inventory needs, the cook helps ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently during service periods.
The cook plays an integral role in the back-of-house team, requiring previous experience in roles like cook, line cook, prep cook, or sous chef to be especially beneficial. While a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, it is not mandatory. What Applebee's values most is a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow within the team environment. Additionally, obtaining a Food Handlers certification, or being willing to do so, is a job requirement. This position provides a great opportunity for individuals looking to build their skills and progress in the culinary industry while working in a supportive, fast-paced restaurant setting. Applebee's offers a workplace culture that encourages personal and professional development within the hospitality sector.
