The role of Restaurant Cook at Life Time is integral to maintaining the high standards of the food experience offered to members. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, health-focused kitchen environment and who enjoy working with a team dedicated to delivering fresh, consistent, and high-quality food. The cook is responsible for producing menu items in timely fashion while adhering to strict food safety regulations. This includes preparing food items following specific recipes to ensure consistency, freshness, and quality. Additionally, the cook supports daily operational needs such as stocking supplies, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Working closely with the sandwich and salad stations, the cook manages food production flow, balancing the demand for quality with efficiency.
Employment in this role is full-time and requires certification such as ServSafe and CPR/AED to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. The position demands physical activity including the ability to lift weights over 20 pounds and maintain a stationary position or be mobile within the kitchen throughout shifts. Preference is given to candidates with prior experience in fast casual or full-service restaurants and familiarity with prepping recipes. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time
- ServSafe certification required within the first 90 days of hire
- CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire

- Experience in restaurant with fast casual or full service experience
- Experience prepping recipes
Job Duties
- Adheres to the daily needs for the Bistro including stocking supplies maintaining cleanliness ensuring safety of kitchen
- Maintains LifeCafe and kitchen cleanliness including sweeping mopping cleaning kitchen equipment and washing dishes
- Manages the flow of food production in conjunction with the sandwich and salad stations
- Follows recipes to ensure consistency freshness and quality of ingredients while preparing food
