Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience working in a kitchen or culinary environment
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation protocols
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and kitchen procedures
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • willingness to comply with safety and health standards set by the company

Job Qualifications

  • Previous background as a chef or in a related kitchen role
  • strong grasp of the principles underlying food preparation and various cooking styles
  • knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety guidelines
  • obtain certification for food safety if it is a requirement and has not been previously obtained
  • elementary math and numerical counting proficiencies
  • skillful in both communication and teamwork capacities
  • a high school diploma or a comparable qualification is recommended but not obligatory

Job Duties

  • Follow standardized recipes and guidelines to cook and serve various meals
  • prepare workstations by organizing required ingredients and utensils
  • get ingredients ready through chopping, trimming, measuring, mixing, and more
  • utilize different kitchen utensils and equipment like knives, ovens, stovetops, and mixers safely by following recommended guidelines
  • utilize a range of methods such as baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming to prepare and cook meals
  • prepare and serve dishes in accordance with established guidelines for their visual aesthetics
  • comply with all the required guidelines for food safety and ensure proper storage of food
  • keep kitchen areas, devices, and utensils free from dirt and germs by sanitizing them
  • offer top-notch customer care while retaining a constructive outlook
  • comply with the safety and sanitation guidelines set forth by Aramark
  • maintain the safety of company assets
