In this role, the Restaurant Clerk serves as a crucial member of the Store Operations Team and the overall customer service experience. Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of grilled and hot food items while adhering strictly to company standards for preparation, presentation, and cleanliness of the restaurant area. This position requires flexibility in scheduling, including working nights and weekends, to best serve the needs of the store and its customers. A Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is mandatory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, preparation, and service.
Ideal candidates possess foundational literacy and communication skills, enabling them to comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and brief communications such as memos. Effective interpersonal skills are important for presenting information clearly in one-on-one or small group interactions with customers and team members. Physical stamina is also essential as the role involves regular lifting of items up to 25 pounds, frequent lifting up to 45 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds. Additional skills such as basic PC and Outlook abilities, or possession of a Retail Management Certificate, are considered valuable assets that can enhance a candidate's qualifications.
