The Restaurant Clerk position at Store 054 Garland is an essential role within the Fiesta Mart Store Operations Team. Located at 2940 S. First St., Garland, Texas, this opportunity is ideal for candidates aged 16 to 17 who are passionate about food, customer service, and community engagement. The Restaurant Clerk is a key customer service contact point responsible for assisting in the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items while strictly adhering to company standards for preparation and presentation. The role also involves maintaining a clean, inviting restaurant environment to enhance the customer experience. Flexibility is important as the position requires working various shifts, including nights and weekends. Additionally, all food-related positions require certification such as a Food Handler Card or an equivalent to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Job Requirements

Be aged between 16 and 17 years
Possess a Food Handler Card or equivalent certification
Ability to read and write Spanish and English
Ability to comprehend simple instructions and product information
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds occasionally
Availability to work nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

Ability to read and write in Spanish and English
Ability to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions
Good communication skills for interacting with customers and staff
Basic PC and Outlook skills are a plus
Retail Management Certificate is advantageous but not required

Job Duties

Assist with the preparation of grilled and hot food items according to company standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant area
Provide excellent customer service and interact with customers and co-workers effectively
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations including possessing a Food Handler Card
Manage product labeling, pricing, and shelf tagging accurately
Communicate information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings
Lift and move products weighing up to 60 pounds occasionally
