The Restaurant Clerk position at Store 046 in Dallas Fort Worth-NE 28th Street is an exciting opportunity for young candidates aged 16 to 17 who are passionate about food, community, and providing excellent customer service. This role is a critical touchpoint in the customer’s shopping experience, as the clerk assists in the preparation and presentation of El Super grilled and hot food items, ensuring company standards for quality and cleanliness are maintained. The job requires flexibility to work various hours including nights and weekends, accommodating the dynamic nature of food service within the store environment.
Candidates will be responsible for ensuring the restaurant area remains clean and inviting while following strict food safety guidelines, including obtaining a Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification. Job Requirements
- must be aged 16 to 17
- Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required
- ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds occasionally
- ability to read and write Spanish/English
- ability to follow detailed but uninvolved instructions
- availability to work nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- ability to read and write in Spanish and English
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, and memos
- capability to write simple correspondence
- strong communication skills in presenting information to customers and coworkers
- basic computer and outlook skills are a plus
- retail management certificate is an advantage
