The Restaurant Clerk role at Store 025 Austin-I 35 North is an entry-level position aimed at candidates ages 16-17 who are passionate about customer service and food. This role is a key contact point for customers, where employees assist with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items. They are responsible for adhering to the company's precise standards for food preparation and presentation, ensuring both quality and consistency. Additionally, maintaining a clean, inviting restaurant environment is essential to creating a positive customer experience.
This position requires working flexible hours, including nights and weekends, reflecting the dynamic nature of the retail food industry. Employees must hold a Food Handler Card or equivalent certification as mandated for all roles related to food preparation, handling, and serving. Communication skills are important, as candidates need to interact effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors in both English and Spanish. The role is physical, requiring the ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally even up to 60 pounds.

Job Requirements
- Must be aged 16-17
- Food Handler Card or equivalent certification required
- Ability to read and write Spanish and English
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be available to work nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and write Spanish and English
- Ability to comprehend instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Understanding and following detailed oral and written instructions
- Basic PC and Outlook skills are a plus
- Retail Management Certificate is desirable
Job Duties
- Assist with preparation of grilled and hot food items following company standards
