Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a restaurant chef or sous chef
- Culinary arts degree preferred
- ServSafe certification
- Ability to lead kitchen staff and manage operations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational capabilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a restaurant chef or sous chef (private club experience preferred)
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred
- ServSafe certified
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and professionalism
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Create, cost, and execute seasonal menus and daily specials for the a la carte restaurant
- Prepare and oversee all food production including sauces, soups, proteins, vegetables, starches, salads, and sushi
- Ensure food quality, consistency, portion control, and timely service
- Oversee restaurant buffet setups, presentation, breakdown, and special events
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness
- Assist with hiring, scheduling, training, and supervising culinary staff
- Order kitchen supplies and assist with monthly inventory
- Minimize food waste and loss through proper controls
- Interact professionally with members and guests, delivering excellent customer service
- Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
