The Busser position at Stonebridge is a key part-time role based in New Orleans, LA, integral to maintaining the smooth flow and high standards of the restaurant's dining area. Reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, the Busser plays a critical role in supporting servers and management by ensuring tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset efficiently, which helps create a positive dining atmosphere. This role is classified as non-exempt and offers an hourly pay rate starting at $10.00, providing an entry point for those looking to build or continue a career in restaurant and hospitality services.

The Busser is fundamental in upholding the cleanliness and organization of the dining room by promptly removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils, assisting servers with delivering food and beverages, and maintaining overall sanitation standards throughout their shift. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
  • strong communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred

Job Duties

  • Clear tables of used dishes, glassware, and utensils in a timely and efficient manner
  • clean and reset tables for the next guest, ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
  • assist servers by delivering food and beverages as needed
  • maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors, chairs, and service stations
  • refill water glasses and provide additional service support as required
  • carry dishes, trays, and glassware to the dishwashing area
  • ensure all service stations are stocked with necessary supplies throughout the shift
  • follow proper sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and beverages
  • assist with restaurant setup and breakdown during opening and closing shifts
