Job Description

HVMG, also known as Hospitality Ventures Management Group, Inc., is a premier hotel management company known for its commitment to excellence in the hospitality industry. With a robust portfolio of hotels across the United States, HVMG prioritizes both guest satisfaction and associate growth. The company prides itself on a "Be Excellent" culture, which transcends mere corporate jargon and influences every level of the organization. This culture fosters an environment where employees are empowered to take control of their career paths, with numerous opportunities for advancement regardless of where they start. For instance, many executives have risen through the ranks from entry-level positions, exemplifying HVMG’s dedication to nurturing its talent and promoting internal career growth.

This particular role is for a part-time, seasonal Restaurant Bartender for the period from August 1, 2026, to January 1, 2027, offering a wage of $5 per hour. The position is based in one of the hotels managed by HVMG, situated within the restaurant environment. The primary responsibility of the bartender will be to craft and serve a wide variety of beverages, combining a passion for mixology with superior customer service skills to enhance the overall guest experience.

As a Restaurant Bartender at HVMG, you will be the master of mixology, responsible for creating delicious and innovative cocktails that delight guests. Your daily tasks will include mixing and serving drinks efficiently, managing bar inventory to ensure proper stock levels, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area to comply with health and safety regulations. Providing a warm and engaging atmosphere is also essential, as excellent guest interaction is critical to delivering memorable dining experiences. You will report directly to the Beverage Manager or Restaurant Manager, working closely with other team members to maintain smooth operations.

Certification requirements such as Food Handler and TABC Certification are mandatory, signaling a commitment to food safety and responsible alcohol service. Applicants with prior experience in the hospitality industry, particularly hotel settings, are preferred, though a combination of education and relevant hospitality experience will also be considered. The role demands a flexible schedule, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays, and requires certain physical capabilities such as the ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as needed.

This role is more than a seasonal position; it is a gateway to numerous career paths in hospitality. Success as a restaurant bartender can open doors to advanced roles such as bar manager, sommelier, or food and beverage manager, reflecting HVMG’s philosophy that dedicated employees can evolve into key leaders within the company. The organization supports its employees by offering comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays, full healthcare coverage (medical, dental, and vision), 401(k) plans with a guaranteed match and no vesting period, and various discounts on hotel stays and food and beverage services.

Working at HVMG means joining a supportive and dynamic team that values hard work, professionalism, and creativity. The company’s flexible scheduling and access to earned wages before payday through PayActive enhance the work-life balance of its associates. This bartender position is ideal for candidates passionate about mixology and hospitality, who wish to develop their careers in a company that truly values and invests in its people.
