Live Nation Entertainment stands as the world’s leading live entertainment company, encompassing several global market leaders including Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, Live Nation Media & Sponsorship, and Artist Nation Management. Ticketmaster is the premiere global event ticketing platform, having sold nearly 455 million tickets, supported over 145,000 events, and served more than 12,000 clients across 21 countries. Meanwhile, Live Nation Concerts has cemented itself as the largest provider of live entertainment worldwide, producing nearly 23,000 shows annually for over 2,700 artists in 33 countries. The Artist Nation Management division is also among the global leaders in artist representation, managing approximately 280 artists. Together, these businesses empower Live Nation Media & Sponsorship to design and deliver music marketing programs across 750 brand channels, effectively connecting advertisers to 59 million fans that Live Nation Entertainment reaches annually through its live events and digital platforms.
Within this vast and dynamic ecosystem, HOB Entertainment, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, provides exceptional club venues nationwide under the renowned House of Blues (HOB) brand. These venues offer a rich variety of live music genres, including Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Rock en Español, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, and Pop. The House of Blues venues are celebrated not only for their diverse musical offerings but also their unique southern-style cuisine, juke-joint-inspired atmosphere, and the famed World Famous Gospel Brunch, creating a warm and vibrant environment that draws diverse audiences.
The role available at HOB Entertainment caters to motivated and passionate individuals who thrive in high-energy environments. This position focuses on serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as food, in a restaurant atmosphere while maintaining a cheerful and professional demeanor. The successful candidate is expected to engage naturally and warmly with guests, cultivating regular patronage and encouraging repeat business. Efficiency and professionalism in service are paramount, alongside a thorough knowledge of beverage preparation and venue specifications. Additionally, responsibilities include conducting pour tests, suggestive selling of beverages and menu items, and prompt delivery of orders while prioritizing and organizing drink requests to ensure a seamless guest experience.
The bartender will also be responsible for upholding the highest standards of responsible alcohol service, including recognizing signs of intoxication and acting accordingly to refuse further alcohol service in a courteous and safety-minded manner, adhering strictly to HOB policies and local ordinances. Maintaining the bar’s safety and sanitation standards, performing opening, running, and closing duties as per policy, preparing guest checks with point-of-sale systems, managing bartender cash banks, and assisting with cash pull or checkout procedures are critical components of this role. The ability to work special events scheduled throughout the venue, often during late hours, requires flexibility and stamina.
This position provides a unique opportunity to work within a global leader in live entertainment, developing skills in a fast-paced, culturally rich setting that values innovation, entrepreneurship, and dedication. Working at HOB Entertainment offers exposure to a thriving music environment and the chance to be part of a company recognized for its excellence as a Great Place to Work and as one of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies. The company is committed to equal employment opportunity and strives to create an inclusive environment respecting diversity in all forms. Candidates with a passion for music, teamwork, and providing excellent guest service will find this role rewarding and professionally enriching.
