The role of a Bartender at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is key in delivering outstanding guest service and enhancing the overall guest experience. This position is responsible for preparing drink orders with precision, following specified recipes, and ensuring the bar area is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. Bartenders are expected to provide a warm and professional welcome to guests, anticipate their needs, and communicate effectively to ensure satisfaction. The responsibilities extend to managing inventory, processing payments, and adhering to safety and security policies. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • at least 1 year of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects with fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • ability to work in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces
  • ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and up and down stairs or ramps
  • ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Job Duties

  • Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems
  • issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles
  • set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, and other tools
  • prepare fresh garnishes for drinks
  • stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies
  • transport supplies to bar set-up area
  • wash soiled glassware
  • remove soiled wares from bar top and tables and place in designated area
  • anticipate and communicate replenishment needs
  • process all payment methods
  • count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank
  • secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas
  • complete closing duties
