Job Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a City of Milwaukee Bartender License
  • Must be ServSafe Alcohol Certified or take course offered by employer upon hire
  • Able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed in alignment with restaurant hours and business needs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good physical stamina
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of beverage preparation and mixology
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible alcohol service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ServSafe Alcohol Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to handle cash accurately
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar area

Job Duties

  • Adhere to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
  • Set up assigned bars
  • requisition and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
  • Maintain stock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • Greet guests in a courteous, friendly manner
  • Take and/or process orders for drinks
  • mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes
  • practice prudent portion control
  • Check guests at the bar for proper identification
  • Detect and act upon guest inebriation as trained
  • Demonstrate knowledge of liquor laws
  • Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
  • Lock up and store all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops

  • Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
