Job Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of professional bartending experience
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service
- Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions
- Sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and mix drinks
- Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures
- Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and customers
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner
- Can communicate well with guests
- Willingness to help co-workers and be a team player
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending experience of at least 1 year
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of standard beverage recipes and portion control
- Experience using point of sale systems
- Ability to comply with state and corporate alcohol serving regulations
- Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking of all essentials
- Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
- Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks
- Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard recipes and practicing portion control
- Abides by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates checks for guests to maintain accountability
- Receives cash from guests, handles transactions accurately, and balances all moneys
- Locks up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank
- Complies with attendance rules and works regularly
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
