Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of professional bartending experience
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and alcoholic beverage service
  • Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to prepare garnishes and mix drinks
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale procedures
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and customers
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner
  • Can communicate well with guests
  • Willingness to help co-workers and be a team player

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending experience of at least 1 year
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Knowledge of standard beverage recipes and portion control
  • Experience using point of sale systems
  • Ability to comply with state and corporate alcohol serving regulations
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis including requisitioning and stocking of all essentials
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
  • Greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promotes and documents orders for drinks
  • Mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard recipes and practicing portion control
  • Abides by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates checks for guests to maintain accountability
  • Receives cash from guests, handles transactions accurately, and balances all moneys
  • Locks up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank
  • Complies with attendance rules and works regularly
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned
