Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior bartender experience preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar bartender role
- Knowledge of beverage preparation and service standards
- Familiarity with state liquor laws
- Ability to use POS systems accurately
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Team player with a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers
- Follow Marriott beverage standards and procedures using the beverage manual and recipe book
- Know premium items such as beer, wines, liquors and their prices
- Open bottles of wine professionally
- Inform guests of all beverage, food, and bar promotions
- Clean the bar of empty glasses and dishes
- Answer basic questions and provide directions and information about the local area
- Perform side work accurately and timely
- Ensure timely beverage refills
- Upsell appetizers, desserts and beverages when taking orders
- Comply fully with state liquor laws
- Present the check in a timely fashion
- Follow proper procedures for ringing guest checks and cash handling
- Enter all drinks correctly into the POS system
- Practice service standards daily
- Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Lift, push and pull items up to 30 lbs
