Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Prior bartender experience preferred
Ability to stand for extended periods
Able to lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
Excellent interpersonal skills
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Qualifications

Prior experience in a similar bartender role
Knowledge of beverage preparation and service standards
Familiarity with state liquor laws
Ability to use POS systems accurately
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Team player with a positive attitude

Job Duties

Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers
Follow Marriott beverage standards and procedures using the beverage manual and recipe book
Know premium items such as beer, wines, liquors and their prices
Open bottles of wine professionally
Inform guests of all beverage, food, and bar promotions
Clean the bar of empty glasses and dishes
Answer basic questions and provide directions and information about the local area
Perform side work accurately and timely
Ensure timely beverage refills
Upsell appetizers, desserts and beverages when taking orders
Comply fully with state liquor laws
Present the check in a timely fashion
Follow proper procedures for ringing guest checks and cash handling
Enter all drinks correctly into the POS system
Practice service standards daily
Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Lift, push and pull items up to 30 lbs
