The role of the Restaurant Bartender at Neiman Marcus is a vital position integral to maintaining the brand’s commitment to luxury and superior customer service. In this capacity, the Restaurant Bartender will utilize a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage, including culinary terminology, beer, wine, and spirits, to enhance the dining and bar experience. Duties include interacting professionally with customers, supporting staff delivery through POS systems, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the workspace. Additional responsibilities include adherence to accounting procedures for transactions, participation in pre-shift meetings, and compliance with hygiene standards, including professional attire and personal grooming. The role demands physical activity such as standing, bending, carrying up to 35 pounds, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines
Ability to work autonomously
Motivated and results-driven
Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time
Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying 35 pounds
Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Serves and interacts with customers in a professional and gracious manner
Utilizes thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items
Supports smooth staff delivery of bar items through use of POS/ticket systems
Leverages thorough knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
Participates in daily pre-shift meeting
Adheres to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment and maintains knowledge of the POS system
Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation including pre-shift, post-shift and daily and weekly duties as assigned by the Manager
Fulfills duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.)
Maintains the highest level of hygiene standards including clean, pressed uniform and professional grooming
