The position being offered is for a Room Service Server, a vital role on the hotel’s Food and Beverage team. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly pay rate of $16.90, designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and providing top-tier service in both face-to-face interactions and behind-the-scenes support.
The Room Service Server plays an essential part in enhancing the guest experience by delivering food and beverages directly to hotel guests’ rooms and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the restaurant and room service areas. Responsibilities include clearing and resetting tables promptly, maintaining stock at service stations, setting up and refilling coffee-to-go stations, and assisting servers with food delivery and general restaurant upkeep. This role requires attentiveness to detail to ensure all orders are correctly set up with the right condiments, silverware, and beverages following established tray preparation standards.
Beyond tasks in the restaurant, the Room Service Server is responsible for delivering meals to guest rooms within the expected time frame of 20-30 minutes, ensuring courteous and professional interaction throughout. They must follow all hotel and brand standards and protocols, including compliance with alcohol awareness laws when serving alcoholic beverages. Follow-up phone calls to guests shortly after meal delivery are important to confirm satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. There is also responsibility for cleaning and restocking the room service area, handling tray retrieval, and completing side work promptly.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred

- customer service experience
Job Duties
- Promptly clear and reset used tables
- remove dirty stock to dish area and breakdown trays
- take soiled linen to designated area and/or Housekeeping Department for laundering
- stock and maintain service stations with the proper supplies before, during and after each shift
- set up and refill coffee-to-go station in the lobby and keep it replenished as needed
- promptly assist servers in the pre-bussing of tables and delivery of food orders
- assist in the general cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant
- set up orders accurately and deliver to rooms within 20-30 minutes
- follow proper tray setup for all orders including silverware, napkins, condiments, beverages and special requests
- provide courteous service and professional phone manners
- deliver orders following hotel/brand standards
- place call to guest 5-10 minutes after meal delivery to ensure satisfaction
- know and follow cashier and room charge procedures
- maintain knowledge of service standards for beer, liquor and wine
- comply with alcohol awareness procedures and applicable laws
- clean and restock room service area
- complete required side work
- promptly retrieve solid dishes from hallways and guest rooms
- perform additional duties as required
