This role involves joining Neiman Marcus in Fort Worth, Texas, as a Restaurant Server Assistant, a position fundamental to maintaining the high standards of hospitality the company is known for. This hourly onsite position offers a competitive pay range of $17.05 to $21.32 per hour, reflecting the upscale environment and meticulous service expectations. As a Restaurant Server Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring guests receive impeccable food and beverage service, sustaining the luxurious dining ambiance synonymous with the Neiman Marcus brand. Responsibilities include maintaining dining room readiness with precise table setups, delivering food and beverages promptly as directed by kitchen tickets, and ensuring guest satisfaction through attentive service. You will also support both kitchen and waitstaff by managing bus stations and beverage areas, restocking essential items, and assisting with additional service requests. This role demands a keen understanding of fine dining protocols, including correct placement of china, glassware, and flatware, alongside a comprehensive knowledge of culinary terms and food preparation to enhance guest interactions.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in food and beverage service within an upscale environment, demonstrating an ability to work autonomously while remaining motivated and results-driven. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Focuses on table maintenance in the dining room including clearing and re-setting tables
  • delivers popovers butter and pours water
  • delivers food and beverage to guests as indicated by kitchen tickets
  • maintains the bus station and beverage areas
  • learns table numbers and sections in the dining area
  • assists kitchen staff and service staff with any service needs such as additional customer requests restocking plates bagging to go orders setting up expediter station
  • assists waitstaff with any service needs refilling beverages and running food from the kitchen to the dining room as needed
  • sets up the dining room with key items including but not limited to coffee iced tea and ice
  • maintains dining room by restocking glasses flatware and linens
  • participates in daily pre-shift meeting
  • executes pre-shift post-shift and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor
  • lifts and moves objects such as tables chairs highchairs etc
  • cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation
  • maintains the highest level of hygiene standards including clean pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes clean and professionally styled hair and nails maintained to avoid food contamination risks
  • reports to work area dressed appropriately and prepared to work with any necessary supplies equipment to perform job duties
