The Assistant General Manager position at BurgerFi is a critical role designed to support the General Manager in all operational aspects of the restaurant. This role involves overseeing planning, organizing, and training efforts essential to achieving key business metrics such as sales growth, cost management, employee retention, superior guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation standards. The Assistant General Manager ensures that all daily operations align with BurgerFi’s policies and standards while cultivating a positive and inclusive work environment where all team members are respected and free from harassment. This role also acts as a community ambassador, fostering goodwill towards the BurgerFi brand and promoting its values to guests and neighbors.
As part of the operational duties, the Assistant General Manager will take charge of inventory controls, order processing, and minimizing food waste. They guarantee that all guests enjoy a welcoming atmosphere and receive prompt, courteous, and friendly service at every visit. Maintaining consistency in food preparation and service by following restaurant recipes, portion controls, and cooking standards is a fundamental responsibility. Additionally, this role involves managing labor schedules effectively by anticipating business activity to ensure proper staffing levels while meeting labor cost objectives.
The Assistant General Manager must also enforce compliance with cash handling and reconciliation procedures, oversee cleaning and sanitation of both kitchen and dining areas, and ensure that all restaurant equipment remains in excellent working condition through regular inspections and preventative maintenance. Administrative tasks such as preparing reports, schedules, and other documentation must be completed accurately and timely.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding health, safety, and labor is essential, as is the ability to administer company policies fairly and consistently concerning employee performance and conduct. This person must be proactive in resolving customer complaints, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction, and supporting the overall success of the restaurant. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Ensure all aspects of daily operations conform with company policies and standards

- Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures
- Supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning
- Prepare all required paperwork, forms, reports and schedules timely
- Compile and balance cash receipts at end of shift or day
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and excellent working condition
- Ensure all products are received in correct unit count and condition
- Schedule labor according to business activity while meeting labor cost objectives
- Administer corrective actions fairly for policy violations
- Comply with all regulations regarding health, safety, and labor
- Resolve customer complaints regarding food service
