The Assistant Manager role at CHOPT is a pivotal position, supporting the restaurant and General Manager in various operational and leadership responsibilities. This full-time position requires a 40-hour workweek, with overtime scheduled as business needs arise. Assistant Managers play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high food safety and sanitation standards. They are responsible for training and coaching hourly staff, helping identify and develop potential trainers, and assisting with administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ordering. This role also includes the responsibility of upholding CHOPT’s brand reputation and ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
CHOPT invests in the professional growth of its Assistant Managers through a comprehensive Management in Training program lasting five weeks, followed by a year-long development path focused on expanding leadership and operational skills. This program equips new managers with the tools and knowledge necessary to advance their careers within the company. - ServSafe certification and any required city or state food safety certifications
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and employees and accurately exchange information
- Skill in using a computer and or tablet
- Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- Capability to occasionally move or transport items up to 25 pounds
