The Assistant Manager role at Fazoli's is a pivotal position responsible for supervising, directing, and managing assigned shifts to uphold the restaurant’s operating standards and overall success. Working closely under the guidance of the General Manager, the Assistant Manager plays a critical role in driving the restaurant’s performance across three essential pillars: People, Sales, and Profit. This role is accountable for ensuring the restaurant's operational excellence, team development, community engagement, and financial growth.
In this capacity, the Assistant Manager helps develop the restaurant team by focusing on succession planning and strengthening the bench through internal development processes. This ensures that operational standards and team performance are maintained at a high level. Sales efforts include building professional relationships within the community and implementing marketing strategies to boost both in-house and off-premises sales. On the profit side, the Assistant Manager supports the General Manager by enforcing effective management practices, policies, and controls that enhance productivity, minimize waste, and maintain a safe work environment.
Ideal candidates for this position will demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively, and a strong entrepreneurial spirit with enthusiasm to motivate and lead teams. Basic computer proficiency is required, along with integrity, self-drive, and the ability to execute various operational and marketing tasks. The role demands active involvement in daily restaurant operations including line checks, compliance with maintenance checklists, and adherence to company policies.
This full-time role requires availability of at least 30 hours weekly, with consideration given to those enrolled in school. Fazoli's also prioritizes employee safety and compliance through routine background checks and certifications including SERV Safe. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and manual tasks consistent with a typical restaurant environment. The Assistant Manager will help maintain a positive and secure workplace for guests, team members, and investors alike while contributing to Fazoli’s mission of delivering exceptional Italian dining experiences.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Available minimum 30 hours per week unless enrolled in school
- Complete routine background, motor vehicle report, and reference checks
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with restaurant operations
- Successful completion of all required Fazoli's training
- Willingness to assist with multiple strategies and tasks simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Minimum 1-year previous Assistant Manager experience preferred
- Experience in fast casual or quick service restaurants preferred
- Ability to complete required Fazoli's training and SERV Safe certification
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Entrepreneurial spirit and competitive nature
