Job Description

Red Robin is a well-established and renowned high-volume, full-service restaurant that stands out from the typical burger chain with its lively, laid-back atmosphere and uniquely quirky vibe. With a passion for creating memorable experiences for its guests, Red Robin has carved a niche in the casual dining industry by offering innovative and indulgent menu options, including its world-famous steak fries and burgers that go beyond the ordinary. The brand prides itself on fostering a culture of connection, fun, and generosity, making every visit more than just a meal but an experience where guests feel a genuine sense of belonging. Red Robin is committed to inclusivity, welcoming diversity in both its team and its clientele, making it a destination for everyone who appreciates great food and warm hospitality.

The Restaurant Assistant General Manager role at Red Robin is a pivotal position responsible for partnering with the Restaurant Managing Partner to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations, maintaining an unwavering commitment to excellence. This leadership role acts as a true second-in-command, representing the brand as a dedicated ambassador who upholds the company's high standards and values. The position involves overseeing various cost centers while ensuring that every guest and team member has an unparalleled, memorable experience. As a culture champion, the Assistant General Manager plays a crucial part in fostering a positive work environment, striving continuously for improvement and embodying the "better for being here" mentality.

Compensation for this full-time role ranges from $55,000 to $70,500 annually, complemented by an uncapped bonus program that allows the Assistant General Manager to share in the restaurant's financial success. Additional incentives include referral bonuses for recruiting new team members, free shift meals, and a 50% discount on Red Robin food for their families. The restaurant is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, providing rare opportunities for rest during major holidays. There are excellent growth opportunities within the company, encouraging ambitious individuals to build a long-term career with Red Robin.

This leadership position is a blend of operational expertise, people management, and financial savvy. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and inspirational leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a passionate team dedicated to hospitality and execution. A deep understanding of Profit & Loss statements, knowledge of local and state health codes, and proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word are key components of success in this role. Candidates should have at least two years of management experience and be open to working flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Reliable transportation is essential, as is the capability to obtain any state or local certifications or permits required. Experience with systems like Workday, Aloha, NBO, and Hotchedules is preferred but not mandatory.

Joining Red Robin means becoming part of a company that values energy, personality, and the passion for fun and excellent service. The Assistant General Manager will be instrumental in shaping the guest experience and fostering a thriving team culture, ensuring every visit leaves a lasting positive impression.
