We are currently seeking a Restaurant Assistant General Manager who will play a vital leadership role in our team. As an Assistant General Manager, you will provide direction, coaching, training, and development for team members, focusing on food quality, service standards, safety, sanitation, and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Beyond operational excellence, this role involves partnership with the General Manager to ensure the financial performance of the restaurant. Responsibilities include managing inventory and cost controls, implementing plans to improve financial outcomes, supporting new company initiatives, and inspiring community engagement through catering efforts. You will oversee team member scheduling to optimize staffing levels according to daily projections and be actively involved in hiring and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will routinely interact with guests, team members, local owners, vendors, and the management team to ensure smooth operations and outstanding guest service. You will also be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the restaurant environment while fostering a professional and harassment-free workplace. The ability to handle multiple priorities, work effectively under stress, and exercise sound judgment is crucial for success in this role.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 base pay plus monthly bonuses. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Minimum of three years of high volume full-service restaurant management experience
  • Exceptional leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to attract, train, develop and retain top team members
  • Strong guest service focus
  • Ability to manage financial goals including sales growth and cost management
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to talk, hear and use hands repetitively
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders and step stools
  • Dexterity for handling food items and dishes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • Some college preferred
  • Minimum of three years of high volume full-service restaurant management experience
  • Exceptional leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to attract, train, develop and retain top team members
  • Strong guest service focus with ability to provide an exceptional dining experience
  • Ability to define, measure and attain financial goals including sales growth, guest count increases, staffing, guest service, cost of goods and labor cost management

Job Duties

  • Ensures flawless execution of every detail, every shift, by every team member, to exceed guest expectations
  • Provides direction, coaching, training and development for team members including food quality, service standards, safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures
  • Ensures all food, beverage and service standards, policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Partners with the General Manager to ensure financial performance of the restaurant
  • Ensures consistent execution of all systems, standards, inventory and cost controls
  • Partners with the General Manager to create and implement plans that improve financial performance
  • Executes and follows up on new company initiatives with the General Manager
  • Utilizes catering team to inspire community involvement and build sales
  • Ensures team member and manager schedules support positive restaurant performance with appropriate staffing
  • Interviews and assists in final selection of team members, maintaining staffing levels
  • Partners with the General Manager to verify daily administration compliance
  • Organizes and plans work anticipating business needs
  • Communicates effectively with guests, team members, management, local owner, vendors
  • Responds promptly to guest feedback ensuring positive recovery
  • Ensures cleanliness and sufficient supply levels for restaurant operations
  • Follows safety procedures and standards when operating equipment
  • Provides a safe, professional, non-hostile, harassment-free environment
  • Handles multiple priorities and works well under stress exercising good judgment
