The role of Assistant General Manager at Noodles & Company is essential to the successful operation and leadership of a restaurant. The Assistant General Manager works closely with the General Manager to lead, coach, and work side-by-side with restaurant teams during busy periods and daily operations. This leadership role involves fostering a positive and accountable workplace culture, supporting a high-performance team, and ensuring guests receive a consistently exceptional dining experience. Through steady execution and teamwork, the Assistant General Manager plays a key role in maintaining operational excellence, food safety, and the overall standards that make guests want to return.

This salaried position offers an annual compensation range of USD 48,000.00 to USD 5,800.00 per year and requires a weekly commitment of approximately 45 hours with a variable schedule that includes opening, mid, and closing shifts, as well as weekends and holidays. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for a broad scope of duties that include recruiting, training, scheduling, labor management, expense control, and local marketing. Additionally, leadership in food safety and cleanliness standards is paramount. Job Requirements

  • minimum of one year of management or leadership experience
  • experience in food service, retail, hospitality, or hotel management preferred
  • ability to lead teams and deliver operational excellence
  • strong conflict-resolution and communication skills
  • recruitment and training experience
  • knowledge of food safety and inventory control
  • ability to work 45 hours weekly on a variable schedule including weekends and holidays
  • ability to meet physical demands of role such as standing and lifting up to 55 pounds
  • obtain and maintain food-safety licenses or certifications
  • valid driver’s license
  • at least 18 years old

Job Duties

  • lead and coach restaurant teams alongside the General Manager to ensure operational excellence

  • follow operational, inventory, and food safety procedures to maintain consistent standards
  • assist with scheduling, labor management, and expense control
  • lead local restaurant marketing efforts
  • maintain food safety standards and cleanliness
  • work a variable schedule including opening, mid, closing shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • meet physical requirements such as standing, bending, lifting up to 55 pounds
  • obtain and maintain required food-safety certifications
  • occasionally drive as needed
