The role of Alamo Restaurant & Theater Manager is pivotal to sustaining the high standards and dynamic environment that define the Alamo Drafthouse experience. These managers work hand-in-hand with the General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations encompassing all facets of the venue, including teammate development, quality assurance, event execution, scheduling, ordering, inventory management, facilities maintenance, and production. Most importantly, the role focuses on supporting the team's and guests' experience to ensure every visit is memorable. Managers are seasoned professionals with a passion for hospitality, combining leadership skills with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit to manage multiple operational aspects effectively.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $78,000 annually, supplemented by an incentive bonus based on performance. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of computer software
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Ability to solve problems effectively
  • Experience with guest relations
  • Capability to multitask and adapt to changing situations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable with kitchen environment and equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and motivational skills
  • Previous management experience in hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment industry preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and G-Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Experience in maintaining positive guest relations
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment

Job Duties

  • Manage all cost of goods sold (COGs) and maintain vendor relationships within assigned areas
  • Report operational successes and improvement opportunities to the General Manager
  • Assist in executing monthly inventory processes
  • Implement action items derived from profit and loss (P&L) and operating expense ratio (OER) analysis
  • Uphold company behavior standards including Core Values, Code of Conduct, and Operational Guidelines
  • Lead service on the floor and coordinate front-of-house team activities
  • Address and resolve patron complaints to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Monitor patron feedback for new ideas and improvements
  • Ensure operational and safety protocols are consistently executed
  • Maintain venue facility and equipment standards
  • Develop and retain a strong team through leadership and learning and development initiatives
  • Identify and mentor hourly key leaders
  • Track performance and conduct coaching sessions
  • Celebrate team successes and foster a positive work environment
