With a portfolio of 122 hotels and resorts plus 46 residential properties in 47 countries, Four Seasons continues to set the standard for premium accommodations and sophisticated service. The company’s commitment to excellent service stems from its people-first philosophy, which focuses on creating a positive work environment and world-class employee experience. This commitment ensures that each guest interaction is genuine, courteous, and memorable, reinforcing Four Seasons’ position as a leader in the luxury hotel industry. Four Seasons’ distinct culture celebrates diversity, inclusion, and respect, encouraging employees to achieve their best while maintaining a balance of professionalism and genuine care for guests and colleagues alike.
Located in the heart of Minneapolis, the Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis is a shining jewel on the city skyline, seamlessly connected by Skyway to the city’s sports, business, and entertainment sectors. It offers luxury accommodation spaces, Mediterranean-inspired dining designed by award-winning local celebrity chef Gavin Kaysen, a wellness floor with indoor and outdoor pools, and a serene Spa dedicated to nourishment through nature. The hotel is also integrated with private residences and serves as a key business hub, including housing RBC Wealth Management’s US headquarters. This dynamic environment combines the best of business and leisure, making it an ideal location for a luxury hospitality career.
The position available is for a Restaurant General Manager for the Mara Restaurant and Bar, a crucial role within the Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis. The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience, and embodying the Four Seasons commitment to luxury hospitality. This leadership role involves directly managing a team, fostering talent development, budgeting, and creatively finding ways to maximize profits while maintaining the highest service standards.
The Mara Restaurant & Bar General Manager’s responsibilities include selecting, training, motivating, evaluating, and sometimes disciplining employees and managers to maintain cultural and operational standards. They will exercise control over labor and operational expenses, oversee purchasing and inventory, and develop innovative revenue-generation strategies. The role requires visibility and accessibility within the operation to build strong relationships with both regular guests and new patrons. The General Manager will collaborate closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, Executive Chef, and Sous Chefs to create menus and wine lists that balance quality and cost-efficiency. Operational communication is key, and the General Manager will regularly liaise with different departments to ensure coordinated and efficient service delivery.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience, coupled with an annual incentive plan including award incentives. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits such as affordable medical, dental, vision, and life insurance with minimal waiting periods, a 401(k) retirement plan, excellent training and professional development opportunities, complimentary accommodations at other Four Seasons properties worldwide, dry cleaning for employee uniforms, and complimentary employee meals, among other perks. This role requires authorization to work in the United States unless the candidate is already employed in a managerial role at another Four Seasons property and potentially eligible for L-1 visa sponsorship. The company promotes an equal opportunity and affirmative action environment, welcoming diverse applicants including minorities, women, veterans, and persons with disabilities.
If you aspire to grow in a luxury hospitality environment and lead a top-tier restaurant within a world-class property, this opportunity at the Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis offers an inspiring career path where excellence, innovation, and dedication are celebrated and rewarded.
